Who’s ready?

baritonechick:

I’m writing an Au, which I’m pretty stoked about. I’m still trying to decide who it’s about, but I was thinking Gabriel, just ‘cause I love him so much. The fic is gonna be set in high school, your senior year, and I hope ya’ll like it whenever I get finished with it! I’m also working on requests which are taking awhile. So sorry about that, but yea!

Im actually dying rn cuz I posted it over 2 years ago and I still haven’t finished the series 😂

In My Dreams (5)

Word Count: 911 words

A/N: I may or may not post on Friday. Been getting a lot of homework lately before break >_>

(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)

You had been working with the Winchesters and Castiel for weeks. They had invited you into their home, even going as far as to give you a place to stay. There was hardly anything left for you in your old life besides a crappy job and a worn-down apartment.

The dreams hadn’t stopped. In fact, they even occurred when you took naps. It was easy to get into contact with Gabriel, but communicating was a different story.

The first night, you told him you had found the Winchesters and Castiel. They were trying to find him.

Gabriel face glimmered with a hint of hope and for once upon seeing him, he smiled.

Despite the extra help, the two of you still tried. Some nights, when Gabriel seemed calmer than normal, he would just want to be around your unconscious presence.

For some reason, you felt the same. Just being in the archangel’s presence in your dreams had calmed you down about the situation. Progress was slow and you were getting more frustrated by each hour that ticked by without a clue to where Gabriel could be. That is, until Castiel hit a breakthrough.

“Y/n, you say Gabriel keeps pointing down, right?”

You nod so quick that you feel lightheaded.

Castiel purses his lips into a firm line and he lets out a deep sigh.

“He’s in Hell. It makes sense; Asmodeus knows what we need to get to the other universe, and one of those ingredients is an archangel’s grace.”

Asmodeus, yes, you’d heard of him from your time in the bunker as well as the portal to the other world. It was too complicated of a task for your brain to comprehend.

“So he’s trapped Gabriel,” you come to the conclusion, running a clammy hand through your hair. The constant research and bussling around had given you headaches on the daily, but it was no time to worry about your own state.

“We’ve been to Hell and back enough times for this to be a piece of cake. Rowena will be able to help. The only issue is…” Dean slowly glances over at you, sitting in the chair and quietly listening to the conversation.

“What about me?”

Dean snorts, “Sweetheart, no offense, but you’ve never hunted in your life.”

He was right. How were you supposed to help take down monsters that most people didn’t know existed?

Then again, you had a feeling in the pit of your stomach, your gut, that felt the urge to join in, to fight. You wanted to be of some help to them.

“Train me,” you simply stated.

The three men looked over at you in slight disbelief.

“What?” Dean questioned incredulously.

You stood up and crossed your arms.

“You heard what I said. Train me. Give me two days, and if I’m not fit enough to go along, then I’ll stay here.”

Time was of the essence to find and rescue Gabriel, but you wanted, no, needed to go.

The Winchesters share their infamous glance that always meant they were deliberating over something important.

Sam nods and Dean just groans.

“Fine, Sam will start training you in an hour.”

~~

“Punch me.”

Sam held his arms up in a fighting stance, waiting for you to follow his demand.

“What? You want me to hit you?”

The Winchester nods.

It was just a punch. You could handle it.

You curled your hand into a fist and took the first opportunity that you saw him falter. He grabbed the knuckles of your hand, twisting your arm to give him an advantage. Something inside you kicked in and you swung around to successfully kick out Sam’s knees. The blow brought him to the ground, giving you enough time to wrap your arms around his head for a chokehold.

The surprised look on both of your faces showed just how shocking your stunt really was.

You let go of Sam, allowing him to straighten himself up.

“You could seriously hussle people with that act. What’d you take, some kind of fighting class?”

You quietly shook your head, suddenly terrified of your own strength. A thirst for pain lingered in your belly.

“I’ve never had any experience in this,” you simply respond, dumbfounded.

“Yea, right-“

“No, Sam, I’m not joking. I’ve never fought anyone in my life before, it just…” you trailed off but suddenly a sharp pain pierced through your skull.

You groaned out and fell to your knees.

Blood. Gore. It was everywhere. You slowly raised a hand into your vision and it held a machete that was covered in crimson-red liquid.

“Y/n, are you okay?” Sam’s voice called, bringing you back from the scene. You’d never experienced that before, but it was your body among the blood.

You grabbed the hand that Sam held out to help you up.

“I-I’m fine. Just a headache or something,” you mumbled.

Sam’s eyes scanned your body for any signs of injury, but everything seemed fine physically.

“You’re positive?” He asks warily.

Again, you nod.

“I’m fine, Sam. Nothing a little pain-killer won’t fix.”

Inside, you weren’t fine, but you couldn’t let the Winchesters know that. If they knew, you wouldn’t be able to go with them to find Gabriel. The image you had witnessed was gruesome and you didn’t know where it was from. It was so realistic and you knew for a fact that that was your hand holding the bloody weapon.

The only thing to do was focus on the mission ahead.
