As soon as the girl left the room, you berated Rich.

“Are you kidding, Speight? You know the whole fandom is going to know about this by tomorrow, right?”

Richard couldn’t get the smirk off his face. The bastard.

Rob silently gazed at his phone, scrolling through his Twitter mentions. It made sense that he didn’t want to be in the middle of this.

“We’re talking about this afterwards,” you growled, putting on a fake smile as the next fan walked in.

The rest of the photos took around an hour.

Rob quickly got out of there, notifying Rich and yourself that everyone was going out for drinks at the bar later. You assumed Rob wanted you and Rich alone.

You felt embarassed for some reason. Everyone was going to think you and Rich were dating, when, in fact, you weren’t.

You typed a message to Briana confirming you’d go out with everyone before hurrying out of the room.

A pair of footsteps sounded behind you, keeping a steady pace with yours.

“Y/N, hey,” Rich reaches for your hand and stops you in your attempt at an escape.

You didn’t feel in the mood to talk or argue; you just wanted to be in his arms. Dealing with this teasing could possibly be the end of you.

“What,” you respond monotonously, staring down at the ground. It was almost as if you were a moody teenager.

“I want to know what’s going on in that pretty head of yours.”

“I need to know that this isn’t some joke to you. The flirting was one thing, but now that everyone else is going to know…”

“Are you sure that you are invested? Seems like you’re afraid to tell people about us.”

“When did us happen?”

Rich huffed in frustration as you did the same.

Both of you kept a steady pace with the other to get to the green room.

You didn’t want to say anything and apparently neither did Rich.

“Rich,” you sighed, unsure of what to say. You felt bad for arguing over something that stemmed from your insecurities.

“I know,” he replied. Somehow, he just knew.

The two of you reached the room with only those few words spoken to each other. But what was there to say?
