So, this girl really caught my attention, and not only because she really is super cute, and she reads supernatural porn in public (which I can greatly identify with).
Everything about her screams GABRIEL.
Can we for a second rewind to episode 5×19, “Hammer of the Gods”? Yes, it’s the episode where we see Gabriel officially alive for the last time, after he decides to do the right thing (after talking briefly to Dean), and help the Winchesters against Lucifer. It’s also a Dabb’s episode where our boys get his additional help from beyond the grave via Casa Erotica 13 DVD re: how to open the “door” to hell and trap Lucifer in the cage (shockingly enough, they need to collect four items to open the portal – at least this time around it’s different items, heh). Lucifer, Michael, apocalypse, same old, same old.
So, why do I think this girl here is a Gabriel’s messenger, or at least a hint he is on his way?
Well, it’s a lot of small things.
– She looks like both girls from CE 13 & 14 combined with Dean’s perfect fantasy woman (an Asian beauty just chilling, reading, and rocking the sexy nerd look)(seriously, if we didn’t know this was real life, this might as well have been the start of “Casa Erotica 16 – Coffee Shop AU” for Dean);
– the demon on the cover looks like he/she is doing a MCU Loki cosplay, horns and all;
– the book is written by “Alexander Jorgensen” (a Scandinavian name, so another nod to the Nordic regions)(for some reason the guy looks like he died a hundred years ago, and probably is not the first person who comes to mind when you think “an author of supernatural erotica”, but I’ll let this one slide);
– the book is called “Guarded by Demons” which, well, is the exact state Gabriel is in at the moment – as we already know he is sitting in a cell, guarded by demons;
– there is also a crow in the decor behind Dean – the bird that traditionally is connected to tricksters in many cultures (and also to Scandinavian mythology in general);
We’ll see if it’s just a stylish way of reminding us about our favourite archangel/trickster, or this girl will have a bigger role to play, but as always, I appreciate the amount of details put everywhere in the show.
And now I really am curious what the book she was reading was actually about. 😉
