So far I’ve seen the prankster argument and the heroic argument to put him in Gryffindor.
But please let us not forget, Regulus Arcturus Black (Sirius younger Brother) a Slytherin, discovered Voldemort’s plan of making horcruxes and decided to destroy them himself.
He was murdered while trying to destroy Salazar Slytherin’s locket when he was 17 years-old.
Bravery is not solely a Gryffindor’s trait.
I picture him in Slytherin. Or Ravenclaw..
Bc there are 4 archangels and 4 houses, I think it would fall like so:
Michael: Griffindor
Lucifer: Slytherin
Raphael: Ravenclaw
Gabriel: Hufflepuff
Gabriel has many aspects that could place him in all four houses, but he died in the name of his love and loyalty to humanity. He was ruled by a sense of fairness/justice.
Was he brave? In his own way–it was brave of him to leave his family when he could no longer handle their fighting, and he was brave to take on Lucifer knowing he would not win.
Was he cunning? Absolutely! But he wasn’t really motivated by his own need for power or ambition. He wanted to fly under the radar and play pranks on the dicks of the world.
Was he intelligent? Hells yes! He managed to trick the entire pagan pantheons that he was one of them. He found creative and complicated ways of serving justice to those he deemed worthy. He remained untraceable to Heaven for centuries. And he was the most “human” of the four archangels–he understood them and immersed himself in their cultures and emotions.
But it all comes back to that love and loyalty for humanity. He left heaven to escape, but he FOUND PURPOSE on Earth. He didn’t side with Heaven or Hell–he sided with the creatures who would lose no matter what happened.
Also, can we talk about how gold and black would SOOO be Gabriel’s colors?
This is the best argument I’ve read so far. And honestly a part of me liked him in Hufflepuff better than Gryffindor, but my Slytherin ass wants him there.
But yes, this is beautifully put, I agree with you, and the 4 archangels = 4 houses makes sense as well.
There’s a stranger writing notes on your desk. He seems to know who you are, but his identity is a mystery. Once the notes start hinting that this guy is in love with you, you’re determined to find your secret admirer.
A/N: It’s back! I can’t say I’ll constantly update it, but I will when inspiration hits. (Especially now with Gabriel being alive 😫)
You and Gabriel called your mom, giving her a small bit of info regarding his condition. She immediately came and signed the two of you out, allowing both of you to leave.
As the two of you exited the building and walked to your cars, you glanced over at Gabriel.
“How about we meet at my house and hang out? That could help keep your mind busy.”
Gabriel gazes at you, his eyes filled with hope and a longing that instantly pulled you toward him. Spending time with you always managed to brighten his darkest of days and keep his mind off of his home life, especially how stunning you look right now with the sun’s rays making you look like an angel.
“Hey, Gabe?” You smile softly, eyes crinkling as you squint at him.
Gabriel blinks a few times before acknowledging what you’d said.
“Yea?” The slightly innocent tone in his voice makes you chuckle.
“You okay?”
Gabriel nods, grinning. “Completely fine. I’ve gotta go home and do a few things, how about I meet you at your house in a bit?”
“Sounds great.”
–
You drive home, smiling all the way as you jam out to some of your favorite songs. You and Gabriel definitely needed to spend some time together talking. It’d been too long since you told him how much he means to you. And right now, he could surely use the confidence.
Pulling into your driveway, you park the car and step out.
You glance around at the snow layered yard and an amazing idea pops into your head. Your hand makes a beeline for your phone and pulls it up into your sight, sending a quick text to Gabriel.
Y/n: Bring your swimsuit, we’re going swimming!
Gabe: It’s 20 degrees and freezing outside…
Y/n: I know, dingus. We have an indoor pool 🙂
Gabe: Fine, see you soon ❤
You find yourself grinning as you shut off your phone and enter the house.
–
The noisy hum of Gabriel’s car alerts you of his arrival.
He carefully trudges up the steps leading to the front door as you slide if open. Gabe’s jaw is practically to the floor when he sees you.
You were so excited to go swimming that you had already changed into your swimsuit. The suit was a plain light blue with black polka dots.
Gabriel’s reaction had you snickering to yourself.
“Lookin’ good, sugar,” he slyly remarked, causing you to blush ever so slightly.
“Thank you,” you grinned, “Now it’s your turn. The bathroom’s right down the hall on the left.”
Gabriel sends a wink your way before disappearing down the hall.
Your eyes immediately gaze down at his perfect stomach. It was a cross between abs and pudge, fit enough to see abs and comfy enough to lay on.
“My eyes aren’t down there, sweetheart.”
You slowly raise your eyes up to meet his golden ones that reflected the swimsuit’s color.
“Hm?”
Gabriel’s face flickers with an air of mischief and trickery.
“Where’s the pool at?” He nonchalantly asks.
You know something is up.
“Down there, the first door,” you point toward the room, as you feel Gabriel’s hand grab your arm.
“What are you-“
Your sentence is cut off by your own squealing. Gabriel had picked you up and hoisted you over his shoulder. You had underestimated his strength.
“Gabriel! Put me down!” You laughed, struggling to escape his grasp but ultimately failing.
Gabriel swims over to you, the muscles in his arms rippling like the small waves his body creates. As he reaches you, he leans against the pool-side and grins up at you.
“Dork,” you tease, slowly kicking your feet in the water.
Gabe feigns a hurt look as he grabs your arm and tugs you into the luke-warm water.
“Gabriel Novak!” You shout as you resurface and brush the hair from your face.
Gabriel can’t help smiling, then laughing hysterically. You want to wipe it right from his face.
He notices the deadly gaze in your eyes and raises his hands up above the water as a sign of peace.
“Don’t do anything rash, Y/n…”
You roll your eyes playfully, knowing you have the upper hand but deciding to back down. You try swimming away, only to be pulled back into Gabriel’s warm grasp.
“You’re unbelievable,” you pout, dodging his lips as he tries to kiss you.
After a few moments, you surrender in his arms and press your forehead against his. Gabriel’s lips graze over yours like a ghost.
“What did I do to deserve you?” He whispers.
You feel his breath along your nose and it tickles.
That’s when you realize; this is right where you belong.
