The New King of Asgard (Pt 2)

A/N: I hate myself for how long this is. Also, spoilers from Thor:Ragnarok though not too bad in this part!

“I’ll deal with you later,” he hissed quietly, waving a hand and magically tying the chains around your wrists once again.

He transformed into his father once again, leaving you to chide yourself on your lack of self-restraint.

Loki’s play was taking even longer than you’d expected, given it was supposedly a very short performance. The good thing was that it allowed you to worry about the situation at hand.

“There’s no way I’m in love with him, right? Think of all the bad he’s done!” You whispered harshly to yourself. It had been going on like this since the god left.

“I’m going insane. That’s it.”

You sunk further to the ground in defeat as the echoing sound of the door caught you off guard.

“Back so late, my king? You question, hardly even waiting until Loki enters the room.

He strolls in with less confidence and arrogance than he usually sports. Then you saw why he must be in such a mood.

“Thor?”

“Y/N? Loki, what have you done to her?!”

The moment Thor saw you, he ran to your side and proceeded to tear the chains in half as if they were paper. You rubbed at the skin around your wrists, smiling gratefully up at your friend.

“Thank you,” you nodded happily, but held back the urge to belittle Loki in front of him. Despite being free of the physical confinement, you could still feel the control he had over you.

Thor made sure you were fine before he stormed to his brother.

“This is what you’ve been doing? And to think, I thought you dead just an hour ago.”

You bit back a comment that surely would have gotten you into trouble with Loki. Thor might have just unintentionally put you on Loki’s not-so-nice list.

“Relax, brother. She was in good company,” Loki chided.

“Good company? She was chained to a pillar! The only person she could have talked to was you and I doubt you’d be considered good company.”

“She seemed to like me when-“

“Alright! That’s enough, boys. I swear, you two bicker more than an old married couple. Now what’s the plan?”

Thor huffs. “I’m going to see Father. Loki, show me where he is.”

Loki rolls his eyes and sighs. “He’s in Midgard. I shall take you there in a moment.”

The god of mischief turns his attention to you.

“Lady Y/N, would you like to accompany us?”

You want to say no, but you know Loki will have your head if you don’t agree.

“Of course,” you reply, noticing the way the god’s lips twitches.

He wants you to say it in front of his brother. Oh, you’ll play his game. Maybe even beat him at it.

“Of course, my liege.”

You twist the words to sound more elegant and Loki seems content.

Thor, on the other hand, looks very confused and somewhat disturbed.

“Brother,” the god of thunder suddenly shakes his head, “Nevermind. I do not want to know. Come on.”

The three of you exit the castle and head over the bifrost to travel onto Midgard.

In the name of Odin’s beard, the trip to Midgard and meeting with Odin had gone all sorts of awry.

Loki and Thor had a sister. None of you knew about her, and she was hell-bent on taking over your home.

It was you and the brothers, toe-to-toe with their newfound sibling and she’d casted you all out of the bifrost rift.

Loki was the first to fall out, then you, and then Thor.

You wake up in a haze, surrounded in flashes of colorful fabrics.

“She’s ready for the Grand Master,” a girl says in a snake-like voice.

“Oh, he’ll love her! Our debt will be repayed!”

You widen your eyes and clear your throat. All the girls suddenly look your way in astonishment.

“Excuse me, but I’m not going to any ‘Grand Master’,” you snap, making the snake women quiver away in fear.

“Oh, what a pretty thing she is!” A man’s voice calls behind you.

You spin around on the table to see a man dressed in orange robes and seeming a bit older. He looks Midgardian, but with weird symbols painted on his skin.

Beside him is one of the people you were looking for, Loki. The god lifts a finger to his lips, hushing anything you wanted to say. You could tell; he had a plan.

“Girls, you’ve done a fabulous job! Your debts, I’m afraid, are not yet clear. She isn’t for me this time, but for one of my newcomers.” The Grand Master, you assume, ushers Loki forward with a questioning look.

“Well, do you like her?”

Loki’s arrogant nature shines through in the demanding look he gives you. He’s playing the part and doing it really well.

“She’ll do, my friend.”

The Grand Master pats Loki on the back and advises the girls to help you off the table. You quietly refuse their actions, managing to stand up by yourself and slowly make your way to the god’s side.

“Come along, ah…”

“Loki.”

“Oh yes, of course! Come along, Loki. And bring the girl! I’ll make sure you have a place to stay.”

The Grand Master leads you both down a long, narrow hallway that has doors all the way down.

You send a worried glance up at Loki, but he calmly shakes his head.

“This one should do!” The Grand Master stops, motioning toward the nearest door to him.

“Have fun, you kids,” he winks, continuing down the hall.

Loki moves to open the door and allows you both inside. The room is average sized, with a very large bed and dark-red, well, everything. The sheets, curtains, and couch were all a beautiful crimson color.

“Loki,” you hiss behind gritted teeth, “What the hell is going on?”

The god of mischief groans, gesturing towards the room.

“Let’s have some fun! We’re stuck on another planet where I’ve already gotten close to the leader. Why can’t we just stay?”

You purse your lips together in a fine line.

“You want to stay, here? What about our home?”

Your home. Not mine. I never belonged there. But, Y/N, I belong here; we belong here now!”

The way he’s talking is so un-like Loki. The god was never one to wear his feelings out in the open.

“When was there ever a we?” You slowly inquire, afraid to unhinge the god’s waning sanity.

“As soon as you didn’t pull away when I kissed you.”

You clear your throat, “You were very demanding.”

“You still fail to admit it.”

Sighing, you make your way next to him on the bed and sit down. You’ve never seem him upset like this; it’s heartbreaking.

“Loki-“

“Why won’t you love me?!” He shouts, quickly standing up and leaning against the bed frame.

All that can be heard are the soft sounds of him breathing. He’s trying to hold himself together and utterly failing.

You stand and place a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. He pulls away without hesitation.

“Loki, look at me.”

You gently tug his head to face toward you. His emeralds eyes are bloodshot and glistening with unshed tears yet he refuses to make eye contact. You’ve never seen him like this before and it makes you more upset than words can describe. Seeing him like this makes you heartbroken.

“My king, please look at me,” you whisper.

Loki raises his gaze to yours eyes and you can tell the tears are threatening to fall.

“A-after all these years, growing up with you, dealing with you… thinking about you… I’ve finally realized how to describe my feelings. The last few days opened my eyes and I think I’m awfully in-love with you.“

Despite your words, Loki jerks away from your touch like a child being told no.

“I don’t need you to lie to me, Y/N. I’ve had enough of that in my life.”

He takes a deep breath in and regains his stature.

“I hear there’s a fight going on soon, so I’ll be leaving to see it,” Loki calmly speaks. His words seem meaningless compared to the conversation he’s avoiding.

“Loki, I will not have you ignore this. I love you, damnit!”

The god starts walking toward the door and pauses as his hand hits the door knob.

“I’m going with or without you,” he simply says.

“Loki, I swear to Odin, if you walk out that door you’ll never hear these three words again. I love you!”

You see the hesitation in his actions. He stops to think; you can just tell. After so long, you finally admitted it and he wouldn’t believe you.

“I’ll see you at the fight,” and with that, Loki opens the door and leaves.

You sit on the bed, now almost devastatingly heartbroken and you cannot do more than think that this is all your fault.

The New King of Asgard

Word Count: 1,362

A/N: Spoilers from Thor Ragnarok! Don’t read it if you don’t want the movie kinda sorta spoiled! Also…. Smut-like tendencies in this first part guys; aka bondage 😉

Everything went to hell after Loki’s death. Thor had left to help on Earth and that left the kingdom in disarray.

Odin was on his deathbed, or so everyone thought. One day, he had miraculously gotten better and was up an around.

All of Asgard believed that their king was alive. Except you.

You’d known from the start that it smelled of one of Loki’s tricks, and you were beyond right. Growing up with both Loki and Thor had allowed you to catch on to the trickster’s ways.

The first time you were able to speak with the king had taken a few days. Finding time to encounter him had been hard, but you knew Loki would make room in his schedule for you.

You step into the large throne room, the doors closing behind and the sound of them echoing around every pillar. There was no one else in the room except you and the black-haired man lazily lounging on the throne.

Neither of you said anything until you approached him.

“My suspicions were right,” you plainly announced.

Loki’s eyes carefully lifted to meet yours. His gaze was terrifying to the normal Asgardian, but you know him well enough.

“I would have been disappointed if you hadn’t of figured it out.”

“As soon as news spread of your death, I knew you’d pulled off your biggest stunt. The only question is, what’s keeping me from spreading this around Asgard?”

The god of mischief pursed his lips into a thin line but nonetheless remained calm. His tells always involved the way he moved his mouth. He was debating on what he should do with you.

Kill? Torture? Or…

“If you were any other person, I’d think you foolish to bring that information to me. But you know I won’t harm you.”

That was the interesting part of your relationship with the god. Ever since you both were young, Loki held a liking for you. You swore up and down your hatred for him, but it always seemed half-hearted.

“I do.”

“Then you know my offer.”

You had to think for a second, but the memory almost immediately hit you.

Loki leaned against the railing of the balcony and glanced over at you.

“When I become king, I’ll make sure you’re my queen. I’d rather have no one else at my side.”

You hadn’t thought the day would ever come for him to take action upon those words, but it had.

“No. I will not willingly stand beside you to rule this kingdom.”

Loki tsked lightly, “Now, now. I never said it had to be willingly, though I can see right through you. There’s nowhere you’d rather be than here.”

You frowned. “You’re wrong.”

With that, you turned to head for the door but something stopped you from proceeding. You knew from the instant it touched you that it was his magic.

“Loki,” you hissed, “Let me go!”

A rope of green light binds your arms and legs together and pulls you to a spot beside the throne. The magic materializes around your appendages into actual metal chains that are tied around a pillar just a foot or so from Loki.

“Loki, you little-“

The god waves his hand and your lips are sealed shut until he finishes talking. His appearance shifts into Odin as he straightens his outfit.

“I’ve got business in the realm to deal with but I shall be back later, pet.”

The words seem foreign in the old king’s mouth though you know what, or rather who is behind the faćade. Loki stands up and travels down the steps to the doors. He exits the room and locks it behind him, just to make sure that no one will find you.

You mindlessly tug on the chains, a task you’d been doing practically all day. Loki had made you a dog and you weren’t going to stand for it. Once Asgard found out who was really behind the wheel, things would change.

It seemed like hours until the doors finally opened once again and ‘Odin’ stepped inside. The moment those closed however, the mask fell and Loki revealed himself.

“Who knew being king would be so… exhausting.”

You gritted your teeth, “Maybe someone who deserves it.”

In a moment, he was in front of you, clutching your jaw in his hand.

“You won’t speak to your king that way. I’d tell you to kneel, but, seems you’re already begging for forgiveness.”

You tore your head away from his grasp and narrowed your eyes viciously.

“If I could stand, I’d show you just how little forgiveness I want from you, Loki.”

You knew saying his name like that would only egg him on further, but with your current position, there wasn’t much else you could do.

The god paused momentarily and suddenly turned to glare at you. His hand went to your hair as he pulled it back to reveal your neck. Loki’s lips brushed against the skin around your ear and down to your collar bone.

“You will call me your king, do you understand?”

You said nothing which in turn caused him to jerk back the locks of hair he held between his fingers.

“Do you understand?”

A small, incoherent yelp formed in your throat but you nodded.

“Yes, my king.”

The strands were released from his hand as he moved away. Your cheeks flushed bright crimson at the thought of his dominating nature. You weren’t about to admit how much it turned you on.

“Good, pet,” he purred softly, straightening his back and heading to the throne.

Loki sat down, materializing a small wand to fidget with. His fingers spun and twirled the stick around subconsciously. Dear god, you had to hold your composure.

You’re strong, stronger than half the men in Asgard, yet you fall weak under Loki’s control. And you still refuse to admit the power he holds over you.

“Do you plan on staring for eternity or admitting your infatutation?”

Your gaze now falls on the god’s eyes and you set a determined stance.

“Neither, actually. I’d much rather be off fighting Frost Giants than here, my king.”

Loki’s jaw clenches tight and the muscles in his neck tense.

“Your defiant nature will be your downfall, Y/n. Anyone else wouldn’t be so kind to you in this situation.”

“I wouldn’t be in this situation if anyone else were in your position.”

Loki took that as enough, for he quickly got to his feet and stood in front of you.

The god of mischief, ironically, kneeled in front of your body and wore a small smirk on his face. One of his hands landed on your waist and the other behind your neck.

“You wouldn’t want anyone else in my position now, would you?”

His words sent chills down your spine but somehow also sent heat into your core.

“Isn’t that right?”

You eyed him curiously, “Yes, my king.”

Loki seemed very pleased with your answer and leaned into you. His rough lips pressed against yours unexpectedly. The thing that shocked you even more was that you weren’t pulling away. In fact, you groaned into his mouth as his silver tongue gained access into yours. The god’s hands placed themselves on the back of your neck, allowing him to deepen the kiss even further.

You felt the chains around your wrists give way and you immediately splayed them on his hips. Your mind hadn’t even caught up to what you were doing yet. If it had, the sensible part of you wouldn’t have allowed this.

The suddenness of a loud knocking came from the entrance and you both stopped. It was enough time to realize what was happening and for you to be able to push the man away.

“Sir, the play you requested is ready,” the voice called from the other side of the door.

Loki glanced at you in shock before composing himself.

“I’ll deal with you later,” he hissed quietly, waving a hand and magically tying the chains around your wrists once again.

He transformed into his father once again, leaving you to chide yourself on your lack of self-restraint.
